Tom brings a rich blend of technical expertise and event leadership to the role, having worked in the AV industry for over six years, following a career in live entertainment as a resident DJ. He began his journey with AVPartners as a casual technician at The Westin and most recently held the role of Technical Event Manager at the Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre (PCEC).

Reflecting on his new chapter, Tom shared:

“I’m excited to start a new chapter in my career on Hamilton Island… I’m keen to see how I can contribute to executing some amazing events while keeping things fun and creative.”

During his time at PCEC, Tom was instrumental in managing large-scale events and building client-focused solutions that set new standards for delivery and innovation.

Jason Farrington began his career with AVPartners in 2016, starting as a casual technician at Sofitel Gold Coast. His exceptional skills quickly earned him a full-time position at RACV Royal Pines Resort. Over the years, Jason demonstrated remarkable talent and dedication, leading to his promotion to Day Controller in 2023. Now, as an Associate at Intercontinental Sanctuary Cove, Jason is ready to take on new challenges and continue his professional growth.

Jason’s background in music, live entertainment, and large-scale production, along with his education in Audio Engineering, has given him a solid foundation in the audio-visual industry. His passion for delivering high-quality audio-visual experiences has driven his success.

Sharing his enthusiasm about the new role, Jason Farrington said, “My progress with AVPartners has been incredibly rewarding, and I want to excel further. My goal is to become a Partner. AVPartners Promotes Stephen White to Associate AVPartners Perth

AVPartners is delighted to announce the promotion of Stephen to Associate with AVPartners Perth. 

Stephen’s extensive experience and commitment to excellence make him a perfect fit for this new role, where he will continue to drive the company’s growth and success.

Stephen began his journey in the audio-visual industry in 2010, starting as a freelancer in small venue live music. His transition to the corporate audio-visual scene in 2014 marked the beginning of a fruitful career with AVPartners. Stephen’s tenure with AVPartners has been characterised by continuous growth and dedication, starting as a casual technician at Crown Perth in November 2014 and moving to a full-time position in February 2015. 

His roles have included senior technician at The Westin Hotel Perth, Senior Audio Technician at Crown Perth, a move into the Sales Team in 2022, and most recently, Senior Technical Event Manager.

Expressing his excitement about his new role, Stephen said, “I’m excited to be working with a new perspective on the business. I’m keen to contribute anything I can to build the business and our reputation within the industry. I’m also really keen for the support side of my role, and building the team to be the best they can be.”

AVPartners Appoints Steve Rowe as Area Partner for Western Australia

AVPartners is pleased to announce the appointment of Steve Rowe as Area Partner for Western Australia (WA), effective immediately. Steve Rowe will lead AVPartners’ operations across WA, utilising his extensive experience and leadership to drive innovation and growth in audio-visual services.

Steve Rowe brings over 22 years of dedicated experience in the audio-visual industry, starting his career in 2002 and joining AVPartners in 2012 as a Technical Event Manager. Throughout his tenure with AVPartners, Steve has consistently demonstrated his commitment to excellence and has progressed within the company, being promoted to Associate in 2018 and Partner in 2020, culminating in his latest appointment as Area Partner for Western Australia.

Reflecting on his new role, Steve Rowe expressed enthusiasm about the future of AVPartners in WA: “It’s an exciting time for AVPartners, and I’m thrilled to be leading the team in WA into the future. We have a highly skilled and dedicated team in WA, who are always striving to be at the forefront of what we do. Fast forward to 2023, and AVPartners is once again at the forefront of innovation, introducing a stage to ceiling LED screen, aptly named “Immersive Infinity,” along with an AI camera tracking system. This stunning visual backdrop measures an impressive 16m x 4m, offering an unmatched immersive experience. Speakers now have the opportunity to truly immerse themselves within their presentations, creating a dynamic and inspiring visual narrative for their audiences.

The state-of-the-art AI camera tracking system offers precise tracking of presenters on stage, automatically following their movements and adjusting focus as needed. This innovative technology enables attendees to focus more on the content of the presentation, eliminating potential distractions from manual camera operations.

The ultra-wide LED screen is also designed with flexibility in mind. Mounted on a sophisticated tracking system, the screen can adapt to meet any event requirement. From splitting and joining to create multiple screens or banners, to creating walk-through doorways under the LED screen, the technology can transition smoothly from a conference setting to a gala at a moment’s notice.
